DC Comics, Inc. is an American comic book publisher. It is the publishing unit of DC Entertainment, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Entertainment, Inc., a division of Time Warner. DC Comics is one of the largest, oldest, and most successful companies operating in American comic books,and produces material featuring numerous well-known superheroes, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, etc.
Originally founded by the famous American writer and entrepreneur Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson in 1934 as National Allied Publications, the company is now the publishing division of DC Entertainment, Inc. and is headquartered in Midtown Manhattan, NYC.
The DC Comics logo features a sans serif typeface.
