Reuters is an international news agency established in Britain in October 1851 by the German-born publisher Paul Julius Reuter. Headquartered in London, United Kingdom, it is currently owned by Thomson Reuters Corporation. The firm is one of the oldest and leading newswire services in the world.
The current version of the Reuters logo was designed in 2008 by the American global brand consultancy firm Interbrand. It features a circular icon which comprises of numerous haphazardly arranged dots, partially inspired by the 1965 Reuters wordmark designed by Alan Fletcher that was made up of 84 dots.
The Reuters logo incorporates a custom typeface.
