Lotus Cars is a world-renowned British automaker that specializes in sports and racing cars. It was originally established in 1952 by automotive engineers Colin Chapman and Colin Dare as “Lotus Engineering Ltd”. The company was purchased by Proton in 1994 after its former owner, Romano Artioli, went bankrupt.
The Lotus logo is often considered as one of the most iconic and instantly recognizable car logos in history. It originates from the initials of the company’s founder, Anthony Colin Bruce Chapman. The four letters are positioned inside a triangular lozenge structure against a green background. The triangle itself is contained in a yellow circle.
The Lotus logo incorporates a hand-drawn typeface.
